Library Tech problems - Page Library Systems EMERGENCY
PRINTERS. If a patron is unable to print and, when retrying,
you see an error message that specifically mentions being unable to access
"LPD service on Pharos server" then you can assume that more than one machine will be affected.
If neither RK or CK is available, you should send a message to Systems using the Emergency Page form ABOVE.
- In Problem Severity drop-down box choose "Low"
- In the Brief Problem Summary box put
Can't send Uniprint public print jobs from some Lippincott workstations.
Error message says "Can't access LPD service on Pharos server."
- Leave a note at Ref Desk that you did this [who & when]
(Look for such a note before you send an Emergency Message)
