key and click on the Log Off button in the next dialog box. Keep holding down
until Windows cycles around to a new Log On dialog box.

window in Glossberg or Class of 55 will only display the contents of this monitor.
7. Log in to Bloomberg: User Name = library03 Password = bloom03
8. Disconnect the keyboard and take it into Glossberg or Class of 55. The new keyboards use a USB cable in addition to the regular “PS2” kind. You will find 2 USB extension cables in use at 6A. Disconnect between them. That way you will be taking the Bloomberg keyboard with one
of the USB extensions into Glossberg or Class of 55.

Part II. Glossberg Room or Class of 55 - Starting the Local Client Session

1. Turn on the Projector.
2. Hook up the Bloomberg keyboard. Unplug the regular keyboard and plug in the Bloomberg PS2 cable. (In Glossberg you should do this at the end furthest from the computer, where the regular keyboard was plugged into its extension. In this way you will avoid having to unplug anything from the back of the machine.) Plug the USB extension into a USB port in the front of the
computer.
3. Turn on the computer (it may already be on).
4. Click twice on the Staff folder.
5. Click on Bloomberg Remote.
6. [ This step is Glossberg only ] - Enter password: side4up2 Click on Go.
- Choose Bloomberg Remote again.
7. Enter password: flat71rem1
8. The screen from the 6A Bloomberg Terminal will appear.
- Please Note! -

Part III. Opening the Bloomberg Powerpoint Presentation

1. Minimize the Bloomberg screen by minimizing the pcAnywhere window.
2. Click on Staff folder icon.
3. Click on Bloomberg.ppt icon.
4. To advance the Power Point slides, use the double-down-arrow in the scroll bar.
5. When finished with the introduction, close the Power Point screen. In the right top corner of the
screen, click on the (x) to close.
6. Click on the Bloomberg button at the bottom of the screen to maximize the Bloomberg screen.

Part IV. Ending the Local Client Session

1. To close Bloomberg, click on the (x) in the top right corner of any one of the Bloomberg screens. If you need to minimize the size of a Bloomberg screen to reach the top corner, double click
anywhere in the window.
2. In the pcAnywhere Manager Box, click on the large Exit icon in the upper part of the window
(it shows a door with a red arrow).
3. [ This step is Glossberg only ] - Shut down the Glossberg computer.
(Don’t shut down the Class of 55 computer.)
4. Unplug the USB extension from the front of the computer. Unplug the Bloomberg PS2 cable
and replace it with the regular keyboard.
5. Turn off the Projector.

Part V. Back at the Ref Desk Area - Ending the Remote Host Session

1. Reconnect the Bloomberg keyboard. The purple-ended PS2 connector fits back into the pale gray PS2 connector that has a red-backed label saying “LEAVE this end”. The USB extension fits back into the other USB extension that you left behind in step 8 of Part I .

2. In the bottom right corner of the screen right-click on the small computer icon (appears to the left
of the time). Click on Cancel Host.
3. Press Control+Alt+Del, then click on “Log Off” and “OK” to log out of Windows.
This step is important since otherwise the machine will still be logged on to the
“Staff-Rem” profile.
