I'm looking for information on bond issuance since 1995 (or
anything available after that). I'd like to see the deals that the
different banks have underwritten. For example, UBS, GS, Morgan Stanley,
etc. The League Tables give me the general rankings, but I'd like to
know the specific companies/industries each bank is involved with.
Answer: USE SDC
You can get the information you want from the SDC database available in
Lippincott and in Huntsman.
You can get a guide to searching SDC here:
SDC Database Search Aid
From Huntsman PCs, click on Start -> Program -> SDC.
From the SDC menu, choose Global New Ventures -> Select Marketplace
(e.g. U.S.)
->All US Public New Issues -> U.S. Non-Cvt Debt. Display Selected (ok)
Put in Date Range. They will have data from 1995 up to last month. Be
conservative here.
There are many thousands of deals per year. Select Managers Fees ->Book
or Co-Manager.
Type in the name of the bank e.g. Morgan Stanley. Choose the name or
subsidiaries you want. Click on Execute.
(Thanks Mike Halperin)
