Reserve Books

A question just came up about a Professor's Personal Copy of a book not showing up in Franklin as being a PCR item (yet it was on the shelf).

I just want to remind everyone that Personal Copy titles (and call numbers) will only show up on the specific Reserve list that it's for; what it won't do is show up as a regular title in Franklin.
Another reminder: These Personal Copies have specific catalog numbers that I origninallly formulated. They go like this:

LPharrisTOPARISgopherPCR

LP= the library the book is found in
harris= is the Professor the item belongs to
TOPARIS=the title
gopher=is the author of the book (and how it's filed on the shelf)
PCR=behind the Reserve Desk (as opposed to DPF which means the Desk Pamphlet File)

Again this won't show up as a title by itself in Franklin; however when you look at the Reserve Module in Franklin you will find it in the list of items that are on Reserve for the specific course.

It's important that you know how to read this catalog number that I assign.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Thanks,
Adele
