integrates SEC filing and report dates, as well as certain extracted information, with existing COMPUSTAT fundamental and market data (for all COMPUSTAT companies with market values above $1 million) by matching the S.E.C.'s CIK codes to the COMPUSTAT permanent GVKEY for both Current and Historical companies. The S&P Filing Dates database provides the historical proxy filing dates (same as the annual shareholder's meeting date) along with the historical filing and report dates of 10K's, 10Q's and 8K's. The database also includes the reasons for the Form 8-K filings by using the SEC categorization process.

Combining the historical filing dates with fundamental and market data through one integrated platform could present some new Informational Content for those seeking higher alphas
