Document Delivery

I just wanted to send a quick, clarifying note regarding Document Delivery. As you may know, we have opened our services to MBA students. One important note when directing this crowd to us, though. We cannot deliver books for them as they have no office or proper mailbox, nor can we pull books from the shelves to have them waiting at our desk. This would create too much chaos for our student workers.

Additionally, we have had some issues recently with non-Wharton and non-Penn affiliates being told of our service and being transferred to us. One case in particular was the “mean guy.” He was told we would scan items from a print source for him – which we will not do. Occasionally we will send items to outsiders when we can, however, this is not a trend we would like to start with this particular patron. In other words, it will be at our discretion when cases like this arise so please do not inform patrons that they can use document delivery unless you are sure they are eligible.
